Remedial massage

Remedial massage therapy uses the techniques of massage to specifically address musculo-skeletal pain and/or restrictions in movement, that is pain and stiffness of the muscles, tendons, ligaments or joints of the body.  Such conditions may be caused by injury whether traumatic or repetitive, including recent or old injuries.

Adhesions and scar tissue following surgery.  Postural and muscle imbalances related to work, sport or other factors.  Chronic conditions including arthritis.

By using massage to relax the muscles, pressure on the joints may be relieved, improving circulation and alleviating aches and pains.  Gentle pressure, stretching and mobilizing techniques are used where necessary to improve mobility and reach the deeper tissues of the body.
